In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus begins by telling his disciples the attitudes that God blesses. These are the attitudes that should influence all of our behavior. Some are blessed now and others will be blessed later, when Jesus returns.
It is possible to have victory over self and sin in your walk with Christ. We must learn to walk by the Spirit of God. By doing so, we will not carry out the desires of the flesh. God desires us to love Him with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. To do so, he gives us The Spirit to help us and lead us.
